Safety

Please note that each space has its own safety hazards and safety requirements. The information here is for general use of the Common Space only; participants in other projects should check with that group for more guidance if necessary.

In the Space:

First Aid Kit – In Sudo Room proper, there is a First Aid Kit located in the cabinet above and to the left of the sink. It is marked with a bright red ‘+’.

Police – Dial ‘911’ or (510) 777-3333 to reach the Oakland Police Department.

In the Neighborhood:

Situational awareness is essential. While the area is generally safe during the daytime, robbery is relatively common after dark. Never flash expensive electronics (especially iPhones) around when walking on the sidewalk or waiting for the bus. Use common sense, and ask for folks to accompany you to the BART or bus station if traveling solo.
